Greetings from The Russcheer Foundation, where our commitment to creating positive change stems from personal passion and dedication. My name is Russell T. Blackwell, and I am proud to introduce you to our foundation and the initiatives that are deeply meaningful to me.
As the founder of The Russcheer Foundation, these initiatives are not just programs – they are reflections of my own personal experiences, values, and aspirations. Each initiative holds a special place in my heart, stemming from a desire to address critical issues that have profoundly impacted my life and the lives of those around me.
Our Inspiring Origin
At the heart of our foundation’s vision lies a story of unwavering determination and the profound impact of one woman’s heartfelt mission. Russell T. Blackwell, the founder of The RussCheer Foundation, draws endless inspiration from the indomitable spirit of his mother, Joan. Her grace, perseverance, and strength in navigating life’s challenges have been the guiding light for his journey. Joan’s incredible resilience and compassion laid the foundation for a purpose-driven mission—to be a steadfast support system for communities in need. She is not only the inspiration behind our work but also the true embodiment of the kindness and hope we strive to spread.
Our Mission
At The RussCheer Foundation, our mission is to empower and uplift single mothers and their children, support suicide prevention initiatives, champion animal rescue efforts, and advocate for underseen and undersourced communities. Through compassionate outreach and a multi-branched mission, we strive to address the unique challenges faced by those individuals and animals in need, and those not heard. Our flagship initiative, the Kindness Mobile Thrift Shoppe, serves as a beacon of hope, bringing essential resources, support, and kindness directly to all communities. By fostering a spirit of unwavering kindness, resilience and compassion, we aim to inspire change and create a brighter, more equitable future for all.

We, The RussCheer Foundation, pledge to stand as a beacon of hope, support, and kindness for single mothers, their children, individuals struggling with mental health, animals in need, and underseen and undersourced communities. Through every action, we commit to:

- Advocate for Suicide Prevention Initiatives: Actively working to prevent suicide, reduce stigma, and offer compassionate support to those facing mental health challenges.
- Rescue and Rehabilitate Animals: Extending our love and care to animals in need, ensuring they find safety, comfort, and forever homes.

My Why
Why are these initiatives important to me…
Support for Single Mothers and Their Children:
Witnessing the struggles of single mothers like my Mom within my community has fueled my commitment to providing comprehensive support for these individuals. I wanted to start up a foundation that strives to offer all levels of assistance, shelter resources, and empowerment programs to help them rebuild their lives.
Mental Health Awareness with a Focus on Suicide Prevention:
Mental health issues have touched my life in profound ways, especially after my wife took her own life in 2020. She suffered from mental health issues, which has deeply motivated me to raise awareness and provide support for those in need. With a focus on suicide prevention, we aim to break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a culture of understanding and support.
Animal Rescue and Adoption:
My love for animals and witnessing the joy they bring to people’s lives inspired me to include animal rescue and adoption as a key initiative of our foundation. I have always had a rescue pet in the house and even voluntarily worked at a Zoo in New Jersey. Through this program, we will support the rescue and care for animals in need, promoting responsible pet ownership and ensuring every animal has a loving home.
Supporting Unseen and Under-Sourced Communities:
Growing up in a community that often went unnoticed and lacked essential resources, I understand firsthand the importance of supporting those who are unseen and under-sourced. Through this initiative, we aim to provide the necessary resources, assistance, and advocacy to uplift and empower these communities.
